Prof. Jérôme Louveaux is Associate Professor since October 2006.
His research interests focus on signal processing for digital communications, mainly DSL systems, multicarrier communications, equalization, synchronization and resource allocation.

Félix Brah , received the Ph.D degree in Engineering Sciences in August 2010; his Ph.D thesis is titled "Constrained Optimized Resource Allocation for Multicarrier Multiuser Wireless Systems." He is now a Post Doc. researcher at the ICTEAM Institute, UCL.
His current research interests are focus on Interference Management, resource allocation and scheduling strategies for multicarrier multiple access based wireless communication Systems.

Ir. Achraf Mallat has been a Ph.D. student since November 2005.

MSc. Onur Oguz is a Ph.D. student. His research interests are in the fields of communication theory and applications, especially, wireless communications systems, Cooperative and opportunistic communications, multiple access communications, channel coding techniques, diversity techniques and channel modeling.

Former members
Dr. Antoine Dejonghe finished his Ph. D. in December 2004. The topic of his thesis was "Novel Turbo-Equalization Techniques for Coded Digital Transmission".
His research interests are in the field of signal processing and digital communications systems, with a focus on turbo techniques.
Since December 2004, he has been with the Wireless Group of IMEC, Leuven.

Bertrand Devillers was a Ph.D. student from September 2004 to March 2009.
His research interests are in digital communications, mainly wireless MIMO (multiple input multiple output) systems, and cyclically prefixed block transmissions.

Ir. Cédric Herzet received his Ph.D. degree in April 2006. His thesis was about the design and the study of tractable "code-aided" algorithms dedicated to the synchronization of digital receivers
After his thesis, he spent 5 months in the Ecole Normale Superieure de Cachan where he dealt with the derivation of estimation lower bounds for communication problems.
He is currently at the university of California in Berkeley for a post-doctoral stay with Pr. Martin Wainwright.

Dr. Xavier Jaspar finished his Ph.D. thesis in April 2008. His thesis was about Joint Source-Channel Turbo Techniques and Variable Length Codes.
In April 2008, he started as a Signal Processing and Telecommunications consultant at Laborelec, the technical competence centre in energy processes and energy use of Electrabel-Suez.

Valéry Ramon has been a PhD student since January 2002.
His research interests focus on channel estimation and synchronization in turbo receivers.

Dr. Thierry Sartenaer finished his Ph. D. in September 2004. The topic of his thesis was "Multiuser Communications over Frequency-Selective Wired Channels and Applications to the Powerline Access Network".
As a Postdoctoral Research Associate, he is currently studying the next generation of DSL and wireless technology in the context of the European CELTIC Initiative.
His research interests are in the fields of communication theory, joint detection, timing synchronization, wired channel modeling, and multiuser information theory.

Ir. David Van Renterghem has been a Ph.D. student since September 2005.

Dr. Xavier Wautelet finished his Ph.D. thesis in September 2006. The topic of his thesis was "Turbo equalization and turbo estimation for multiple-input multiple-output wireless systems."
His research interests are in the fields of communication theory, iterative (or turbo) equalization and iterative channel-parameter estimation applied to wireless frequency-selective multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) channels. He is now working on the topic of DSL systems.
