Vaibhav Bhatnagar

Brief biography

Vaibhav Bhatnagar was born in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, India in 1982. He received his Bachlors of Technology in Electronics and Communiation from Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow, India in 2004.

He received his Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering from University of Bridgeport, Connecticut, USA in May 2007.

Since October 2007, He is a researcher at the Communications and Remote Sensing Laboratory, University of Catholique de Louvain, Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium. His area of interests are Digital Signal Processing (DSP) for Wireless Communication, Software Define Radi (SDR), Hardware Implementation of Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) networks, Biomedical Engineering, Wireless Body Area Networks (WBAN) etc. Recently he is involved with implementation of Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) associated Orthogonal Space-time Block Codes (OSTBC) on universal software radio peripheral (USRP) hardware.

Teaching activities

Spring 2006 : He was Teaching Assistant for the Digital Signal Processing course

Fall 2006 : He was Teaching Assistant for the Pattern Recognition course

Fall 2006 : He developed a complete DSP lab for 60 masters students to work on DSKC6713 Texas Instrumentation Kit.

Spring 2007: He Assisted Professor during the Bio Signal Processing course and lab

2006-2007 : He was responsible for the Beginners Matlab Sessions, organized each semester

2008-2010: He supervised Masters student during their course project and final projects.

Visiting activities

June 2008 and March 2009, he visited KTH University, Sweden for 7 days as a research scholar and worked with Per Zatterberg regarding COOPCOM project.

October 2008, visited UNIK lab, Oslo for 11 days as a research scholar and worked with Professor Are Hjørungnes.
