Short biography
David Van Renterghem was born in Namur, Belgium in 1982. He received the Electrical Engineering degree from the Université catholique de Louvain (UCL), Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium in 2005.
His graduation thesis concerned rate allocation for JPEG2000.
Since September 2005, he has been a Teaching and Research Assistant in the Communications and Remote Sensing Laboratory . His research concerns data compression in sensor networks.
Research
My research interests are in the fields of information and communication theory, distributed source coding and sensor networks.
