André Lebacq was born in Brussels, Belgium in 1979. He received the Electrical Engineering degree from the Université catholique de Louvain (UCL), Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium, in 2003. His graduation thesis concerned the turbo principle and the channel equalization issue within the EM algorithm framework.
Since september 2003, he has been Research Assistant in the Communications and Remote Sensing Laboratory. Until Augustus 2004, he studied the ESA ranging system in the context of a european project.
Since September 2004, he is working on the CAIMAN (Circuits et Algorithmes Innovant pour systèmes Multi-ANtennes) project which concerns the IEEE 802.15.4 communication standard.

My research interest are in the field of digital communications, in the wide sense.
