Welcome on my personal home page!
Valery Ramon was born in Ath, Belgium in 1978. He received the Electrical Engineering degree from the Université catholique de Louvain (UCL), Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium in 2001.
His graduation thesis concerned multiuser turbo receivers for WCDMA (Wideband Code Division Multiple Access) transmissions.
Since Augustus 2001, he has been a Research Assistant in the Communications and Remote Sensing Laboratory in the digital communications group (DIGICOM). From Augustus 2001 to December 2001, he worked on the topic of VDSL systems. Now, his research concerns synchronization of turbo receivers.
My research interests are in the fields of communication theory, iterative (or turbo) equalization and iterative channel-parameter estimation applied to wireless multiuser channels.
