Welcome on my personal home page!
Xavier Wautelet was born in Namur, Belgium in 1978. He received the Electrical Engineering degree from the Université catholique de Louvain (UCL), Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium in 2001. His graduation thesis concerned asynchronous sampling in VDSL (Very high bit rate Digital Subscriber Lines) receivers. He received the Ph. D. degree from the same university in September 2006. The topic of his Ph. D thesis was "Turbo equalization and turbo estimation for multiple-input multiple-output wireless systems."
Since Augustus 2001, he has been a Research Assistant in the Communications and Remote Sensing Laboratory in the digital communications group (DIGICOM). In Augustus and September 2001, he worked on the topic of VDSL systems. Then, his research concerned turbo techniques applied to wireless multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems. He is now working on the topic of DSL systems.
My research interests were in the fields of communication theory, iterative (or turbo) equalization and iterative channel-parameter estimation applied to wireless frequency-selective multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) channels. I'm more focused now on DSL systems.
