UCL was founded in 1425 but is now located in a new city, 25km South of Brussels. The Telecom Laboratory of the Engineering School is looking for the recruitment of several "fresh brains" on the following positions


  1. Computer science engineer for the development of a Virtual Reality laboratory



1)Computer science engineer for the development of a Virtual Reality laboratory

In the frame of the 3D-Media project and in collaboration with the Psychological Sciences Research Institute of the UCL, we are looking for an engineer for the design and the implementation of a deeply immersive Virtual Reality laboratory. The system will be used to carry out psychological experiments by confronting the users of the system to a situation inside the virtual reality, then measuring their reactions.

The tasks involved for this job will be about:
- design a graphical editor for the definition of the virtual environments and the navigation in the recorded session data
- stereoscopic video stream wireless transmission
- inter-process communication through the OpenInterface platform

The position will require :

  1. - Good C++ knowledge.
  2. - Strong interest in virtual reality, real-time 3D rendering and user interfaces.

1-year work contract.
